Zimbabwe Netball team who is also known as The Gems have been named a provisional squad as they are starting preparation for the debut appearance at the Netball world cup 2019 at Liverpool on this year.
As per Fixtures Netball World cup 2019 will be played from the 15-21 July 2019 at Echo Arena venue.
Coach of the The Gems Lloyd Makunde has been tried and tested squad in his selection for their first ever world cup tournament.
Zimbabwe who will be making first appearance in the netball world cup are drawn in to tough groups as in the Group Stage they will be face the Champions Australia and Northern Ireland as well as Sri Lanka in the Group A matches.
Zimbabwe who is third best ranked team of the Group A as they currently on 13th position along with Northern Ireland at Eighth spots and one of the eight seeded team in the draw while sri lanka is currently on 26th spot in the ranking table.
Top three teams from the Each groups are go through to second group stage. Top two teams in the two groups of Six in that second phase and then face off in the semi finals.
Apart of the zimbabwe other three african countries that will be participate in the NWC 2019 are South Africa, Malawi and Uganda.
